Comverse One charging cutover
Comverse One and online charging cut over without dropping recharges. Rating, balances, and voucher flows were rehearsed against live-shaped traffic before the first prepaid event on the new path.
A European prepaid operator
The constraint
Prepaid does not wait for a batch. A recharge that fails at 23:00 is a queue at the store in the morning. The estate mixed Comverse One versions, voucher systems, and network events that had to rate the same after cutover.
What we did
Event traces from production were replayed into a shadow OCS. Balance and voucher results were compared per MSISDN class, not as a single total. Cutover redirected charging traffic on a MOP. Stores kept a fallback top-up path until the new path was trusted.
How it ran
Offer and balance mapping, shadow rating, store and IVR regression, Diameter and recharge path checks, then hypercare on the night shift that already ran the old OCS.
What was true after
Recharges and prepaid events rated on the new path. The old OCS stayed until finance and care signed the first full day of balances.
